This is a clip made by Malaysian Students living around Kyoto during last year's Hari Raya 2006 celebration. Most of them featuring in this clip are still around making life in Kyoto livelier then one can imagine, or so... Some others are now back to Malaysia trying to make the best of their experience here to develop our nation... Gambatte!

Back to the Future - Dedications to those blessed Soul

being stranded in the lab for 12 hours at least, theoretically should make your brain activated and well functioning. NOT!!! it is a mental torture..felt like my neurons are draining out from my right ear, and a massive influx of carbonated air rushing through my left, (hmm my head is a continuous tank, Volume in = Volume out, <-- Dr Illi, betul ke ni?) First and foremost, sorry for being stagnant for quite a long time...things are getting hectic and topsy-turvy.. It has been too long since I first arrived here. To elucidate every moments will be a painstakingly exhaustive story to tell. Every day is met with new experiences. So I feel it is just fair to start this tale with the main characters that have been alongside me all this while extending their earnest hands in help to me. Indeed the ultimate praise and pray be to Allah for opening the path to meeting them. hmm...with whom should I start... let's go by appearance shall we,

The name is Suazlan or Lan in short. The very first of few I met while heading for the MSAJ Hanami. But words can't really describe how much this guy had been putting his effort in helping us newcomers, especially in situations where English seems to be of no use at all (at this time of moment, Malaysian Language seems much more appropriate to use.. )

Graduated from Japan, now he's here undergoing some sorta training. Be going back to Malaysia by the end of this year I guess, by which time there will no longer be any Malaysian living nearby... By the way, getting married soon! Congrats mate!

A true Kedahan going by the name of Ashraf. Came to Japan nearly the same time as me, but for slightly different aims. He's aiming higher, for a PhD. A man rich with smiles and laughters, you'll never feel exhausted talking to this chap (you'll just suddenly fall asleep before you know it<--yet again, maybe this is just me...haha). If you happen to meet this guy the first time, the first thing he might tell you is his infamous tale of "Hang nak tau dak awat Portugis takut nak jajah Kedah" in his original Kedahan tongue... hehe no harm done ashraf!.. If anyone thinking of attending classes in USM in the future, I'd highly recommend attending this guys lecture. You'd probably never be bored with his tall-tales while gaining his wisdom and knowledge... but I can't promise you this, though.hehe .

It is near to impossible for one (Malaysian at least) to be in Kyoto and not know this guy@Kojek. Goes by the name Zulilham, anyone shall be at ease whenever he is around. Similarly, arrived to Kyoto mid this year, he is also now doing his Masters here. A friendly chap who can go at ease with anyone who bumps into him, but don't mess around too much with him. You see the tanduk in this picture? Aroused too much, he might knock you out with it. hehehe. A guy with millions of wisdom beyond the reflection of his age. You might be bamboozled to discover how young at age this guy is as compared to the breadth of knowledge he possesses. (Been crashing at his place several times to discover this, especially when the subject pertains to social matters and Love! hehe) But that's not the best part of it. You gotta try his Ayam Masak Kurma. Kampung mali woo!! hehehe.

Hailed as Jejaka Malaya in Kyoto, I would probably have to agree, even

if it means that I have to downgrade myself (hahaha!). Known among us as Wahid, (which is not even near his given name) he is currently our so called 'Tok Sidang', unless, of course,I win against him in the next election hahaha (as if.. this guy is unbeatable so far, seriously..). His points of view are always sought after, at least by me. Been in Japan since God knows when, he is now pursuing his PhD here. But you can't take that laksa, kuih keria and ayam goreng outta his taste buds. A true Malaysian at heart, even though he is also a highly classified sushi critique, huhuh... Background wise, a few similarity to mine. Has a father who worked as a police officer, attended the same school as my eldest brother, and a badminton critique, hehe.. (yup, this guy sure critics a lot haha) But truly have to take my hats off to this guy. It takes more than words to describe how amazing he is. Adaptability, Knowledge, Perspective, you name it... I can tell that he scales above average in all corners of personal quality. Yet again, this might be my personal view. Argue as you like, but I have been living my nomadic days (as Wahid would call it.. huhuh) being with him and his family to acknowledge this. As far as now, he is a brother as well as friend. Gosh, I should have not tell so much!

But when you talk about Wahid, mentioning about his dearest darlings is very much unavoidable. Because together they form that strong pillars of a happy-ever-after family. Talk about God's power in putting two souls together, Kak Amal is not the slightest less of being a wonderful character of her own. Possessing a strong personality, without missing that fun and joy attitude, probably those who intend to lead any women-related movement should learn a bit from her. I have been reading this book on being interdependant, and I think she is living that theory. See how wonderful God has put fate forth upon them. Plus an amazing daughter they have, whom as I believe God has put it; is guaranteed to be in Heaven. Fiqah can really wash away your tiredness with her simple acts. A clever girl as her mum would say it.. and I agree no less... God bless this family to the heavens.

Okay, this is as far as I can describe for the moment. Indeed I have more to describe these blessed souls, but allow me to keep them to myself. There are more other wonderful characters in Kyoto who colour my days here, so in time I would give them their due...
